Success at last!
Last week was easily the best week I´ve had in the mission so far! Elder Cranford and I are flying around the area and teaching like mad. Every week we turn in numbers of how many people we´ve taught, how many houses we got into, and how many lessons we had with investigators with a member present. The next week, we receive a paper in the mail and it shows three different lists of the companionships who got the best numbers. Elder Cranford and I made the highest list! And we don´t just have numbers to show for it. Last week we set a baptismal date with a girl named Gina Sanchez! She is getting baptized on August 1st and I´m so excited! We also found a 26 year old girl named Sonia from Mexico. She is very sweet and sincere and eager to learn. She actually came to church with us yesterday so she is really progressing. I´m having a lot of fun now with this huge area. Its hard work and I´m always busy but I like it that way. Remember the little boy that poked me in the eye during the prayer? Well this week I had another little experience like that. This time it was a different boy and he was slapping me in the face with a rubber glove instead. Isn´t that great? Haha little kids are hilarious. My spanish has also improved this last week. Right now in the mission we are having an english fast. So I´ve been speaking nothing but spanish the past week. It has helped me a ton. Oh and apparently I look like a Spaniard. During almost every single appointment we´ve had, someone asks me if I´m Spanish. So if any of you are wondering what a spaniard looks like, look at me. Mom they think you are too when I show them your picture. I have to point you out everytime because they think you and Dad are my brother and sister haha. Well thats my report for the week! Things are going just fine out here. We are so lucky to have the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives. Its sad that people have no idea. Thats what missionary work is for though right?! Anyway, I love you all and have a great week. Love Elder Langston
